A Note on Public Scholarship
Across academic publications and community presentations alike, the throughline in Dr. Allen’s work has been translation: taking findings from controlled research settings and making them usable by the teachers, parents, and clinicians who are working with real children in real classrooms and homes. That same commitment shapes how findings from an individual evaluation are written up and how a therapy session is structured. Technical accuracy is only useful when it is also understandable.
